The Integrated Report 2023 was published on 21 March 2024 and provides a comprehensive picture of the DB Group's development in the 2023 financial year, which was largely shaped by further improvements in passenger transport and freight rate normalization at DB Schenker.

The introductory chapter “We are building for the railroads of tomorrow” shows how and where we are working to offer our customers a better quality of service again. A particular focus here is on infrastructure. However, topics such as modal shift, digitalization, the challenges of the shortage of skilled workers and climate protection are also highlighted.    

This year's Integrated Report is a further development of the Integrated Report 2022, particularly in terms of its content focus, design and structure. All relevant financial and sustainability reporting standards are still met. This also includes the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). For the first time, reporting is also in accordance with the significantly updated Universal Standards of the internationally recognized Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The DB Group has been relying on the GRI framework since 2012 to ensure transparent, comparable and stakeholder-focused non-financial reporting.
