Around the world in 26 days: new CEX service at JadeWeserPort
Last week saw the official opening of the new China-Europe-Express (CEX) in Wilhelmshaven. The handling of the "KAWA NINGBO" marked the start of a new direct connection between China's busiest port, Ningbo, and Germany's only deep sea port, Wilhelmshaven. This service provides a fast, direct sea link between China and Northern Europe, with a transit time of just 26 days. This is the first non-stop point-to-point connection between Ningbo and a German port.
Seaport hinterland connections via TFG Transfracht and DB Cargo Eurasia GmbH
TFG Transfracht provides hinterland connections with 6 feeder trains and 9 direct departures per week from Wilhelmshaven. TFG Transfracht is the maritime, port-neutral operator of DB Cargo and specialises in port-to-door logistics. TFG Transfracht organises global supply chains and offers international transport solutions in combined transport by environmentally friendly rail on a daily basis. TFG combines the strengths of rail with the flexibility of trucks.

DB Cargo Eurasia offers a direct rail connection from Wilhelmshaven to Hungary (VAC Terminal). The entire transport from Ningbo to Hungary takes an average of 30 days. This provides customers with a faster multimodal alternative for transporting batteries and dangerous goods from China.
Environmentally friendly logistics solutions
Rail transport on the main route reduces CO2 emissions by approximately 80% compared to road transport. This not only relieves the burden on the roads, but also protects the environment - on a daily basis. TFG offers real solutions for reducing emissions in logistics by providing CO2 e-neutral rail services and a well thought-out combination with road transport. DB Cargo achieves CO2 neutrality by using 100% renewable energy or HVO, depending on the route and requirements, and compensates for any remaining emissions through climate protection projects certified by VCS + Social Carbon/CCBS or Gold Standard.
A comprehensive range of additional transport services rounds off the portfolio, including depot services, customs clearance, hazardous goods transport and the provision of empty containers. At TFG and DB Cargo Eurasia GmbH, customers receive everything from a single source, from advice on customised transport concepts to implementation.
