From south to north: Talgo trains on their way to Denmark

This is how new long-distance trains from Spain reach their future "workplace" in Denmark.

Good news for rail passengers in Denmark: a new generation of long-distance trains from the Spanish manufacturer Talgo will soon be taking to the tracks. DB Schenker, Global Projects & Industry Solutions (GPIS) Spain, and DB Cargo Full Load Solutions are cooperating to transport the new trains from Spain to Denmark. What makes this trip special is that the trains are being transported entirely by rail despite the change in track gauge between Spain and France. The trains run on special bogies to the French border, where they're transferred to the UIC gauge via a special ramp before continuing to their destination.

Many partners, shared success

Cooperation between the different companies is the key to making the project a success. It starts with Talgo, which places the trains on the Vevey bogies and coordinates the unloading process at the French border. Then there is the DB Schenker GPIS Spain team, along with DB Cargo Full Load Solutions, DB Cargo France, DB Cargo, and finally DB Cargo Scandinavia, who all ensure the rest of the transport route to the destination runs smoothly.
