There are three ways to have freight carried by rail: by block train transport, by combined transport and by single wagonload transport. Single wagonload transport offers both the flexibility of road transport and the advantages of rail freight transport over long distances. This means that even companies that want to transport small or medium-sized volumes and/or do not have their own sidings can use rail freight transport. This video shows how it works.
